DISSERTATION
Ph.D. Dissertation Title: “Evaluation of Anti-Arthritic Activity of Some Herbal Plants”.
Guide: Dr. Mukesh Rameshbhai Patel (Asst. Registrar, Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra, Gujarat). Deliverables: In this study, leaves of Jatropha curcus and Vitex negundo Linn. were selected for Phytochemical Investigation and Pharmacological screening for anti-arthritic activity. The anti-arthritic property of all the extracts of leaves was assessed by calculating % inhibition in paw swelling and haematological parameters like WBC and Haemoglobin content. By comparative study, both extract of leaves Jatropha curcus and Vitex negundo Linn. shows better activity as compared to standard drugs and Jatropha curcus aqueous extract is selected for isolation of compound. Analysis of compound is done by various spectroscopic methods.
M. Pharm Dissertation Title: “Phytochemical Investigation and Anti-arthritic activity of fruits of Tribulus Terrestris Linn”.
Guide: Dr. Sunil S. Jalalpure. (Principal, KLES’s COP, Belgaum). Deliverables: In this study, fruits of Tribulus terrestris Linn were selected for Phytochemical Investigation and Pharmacological screening for anti-arthritic activity. The anti-arthritic property of all the extracts of fruits was assessed by calculating % inhibition in paw swelling and haematological parameters like WBC, RBC count and Hemoglobin content. By Comparative study, Methanolic extract shows better activity.
